VANESSA LEUCK is an award-winning New York City based costume designer who truly enjoys the art of storytelling, specializing in new works. Recent designs include: Emojiland (The Duke on 42nd Stret) which earned a 2020 Drama Desk Nomation for Outstanding Costume Design and an Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Costume Design. Confidence and The Speech (Theatre Row) featured an all-female identifying creative and design team, #DateMe (The Westside Theatre), Midnight at the Never Get (The York), DISENCHANTED! National Tour (Starvox Entertainment). Previously Off-Broadway, the show received a 2015 Outer Critics Circle nomination for Outsanding New Off-Broadway Musical and her designs earned an American Theater Wing Henry Hewes Costume Design Award nomination.
Ms. Leuck has previously designed for DISNEY ON ICE, Off-Broadway, at several regional theaters and colleges, as well as with professional dance companies. She was a select designer invited to participate in the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab 2013. She was chosen for an exclusive internship with Walt Disney World as a sketch artist and designer for it's theme parks and resosrts. In addition to her design work she has assisted on several large-scale productions including THE LITTLE MERMAID (Broadway), RINGLING BROTHERS BARNUM AND BAILEY CIRCUS (five productions), and DISNEY LIVE. Vanessa is an Adjunct Instructor at Fashion Institute Technology and an Adust Assistant Professor at Pace University and Five Towns College. She is also. proud member of USA 829.
