SUSAN (LAMBERT) HATEM is a writer, producer and director originally from Decatur, GA now based in Pasadena, CA. Her company, 134 West, specializes in producing independent theatre, film and digital content. Susan loves developing new works for both kids and adults. Gender parity, diversity and inclusion are a vital part of 134 West projects.
Projects include Ty The Pie Guy, an award-winning comedy cooking show for kids; O Baby Mine: Sing a Song of Shakespeare, the first album of kids’ songs inspired by Shakespeare; the critically acclaimed, new musical Bend in the Road: The Anne of Green Gables Musical, Watershed: Ten Years of Underground Indigo Girls. Directing highlights include: Poison Apple, How Much, An Appalachian Twelfth Night, The Love Talker, South Pacific, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Writing highlights include: Automatic, God Up in Heaven, Ruby Dreams and Every Day a Little Death. She has produced or directed shows at the Mission Playhouse, The Carrie Hamilton at Pasadena Playhouse, the Shakespeare League of Pasadena, the Hollywood Fringe Festival, New York Fringe Festival and the New York Musical Theatre Festival. Susan is also a digital marketing pioneer and served as Director of Creative for Walt Disney Studios, producing over 100 digital movie campaigns and websites for Disney movies, including Finding Nemo, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Incredibles, The Royal Tennenbaums and The Chronicles of Narnia. At Disney, she developed the first Disney Pictures mobile site and holds a patent for Disney’s first online entertainment ticketing system. AFFILIATIONS
