SUMMER DAWN REYES is a director, writer, production manager and actress based in Jersey City, N.J. who works in the Greater New York area.
She is also the founder and director of Thinking In Full Color, an arts and education organization that empowers women of color, and 68 Productions, an independent theater company that creates work by and for people of color. She is a winner of the Permanent Career Award in Literature from the Society of Arts and Letters-NJ and the N.J. Governor's Award in Arts Education. In May 2017, she was commended for her work with TIFC by the New Jersey State Assembly. Directing credits include In Full Color, Twelfth Night, As You Like It, Secrets; Love (Downtown Urban Theater Festival), Kokkspeak, Before After and Always, Three Bites, New Jersey Young Playwrights Festival, So What If I Loved You, Adventure (Artistic Asian Runs On Shorts), The Twelve Dates of Christmas, The Eight Reindeer Monologues. Production management credits include Little Shop of Horrors, The Music Man, Commit and The Addams Family (Art House Productions), TEDxJerseyCity, plus Cabaret and Antigone (Saint Peters University). |
