S. DYLAN ZWICKEL is a New York City-based writer and director originally from Los Angeles.
Favorite New York directing credits include Here We Dance, an immersive theatrical fairytale party, Other Girls, a feminist cabaret, a lab of Kailey Marshall's musical Songs for Slutty Girls at Pace University, and a reading of Reparation, a new play by South African playwright Ameera Conrad. Dylan has also participated in the Lincoln Center Directors Lab and assisted directors such as Melia Bensussen and Portia Krieger. She currently serves as Assistant Director on the new musical adaptation of the novel The Outsiders, helmed by Tony nominee Liesl Tommy, which will have its world premiere at Goodman Theatre in Summer 2020 and is making her first foray into film as the assistant to Ms. Tommy on Respect, the upcoming Aretha Franklin biopic. Dylan holds a BA in Theatre from Wesleyan University and an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. In her spare time, Dylan runs a murder mystery party company, Ghost Ship Murder Mysteries. |
