NANA DAKIN is a Thai-American director of new plays, classics and devised performance based in New York City. Her work pursues social equity by examining the way culture is constructed and unsettling dormant biases. She is a core member of B-Floor Theatre, Thailand’s vanguard physical theatre company and President of the Board of Directors for the Thai Theatre Foundation.
As an Assistant Director she has worked with Anne Kauffman on “Mary Jane” (NYTW), Anne Bogart on “The Bacchae” (Getty Villa, BAM), Leigh Silverman on “Wild Goose Dreams” (The Public Theater), and Bartlett Sher on a benefit concert of “Camelot” (Lincoln Center Theater). Recent projects include the world premiere of “White Pearl” by Anchuli Felicia King (Royal Court Theatre), an all-female production of Shakespeare’s “Richard III” (Lenfest Center for the Arts), and “Wonder/Wander: An Interactive Tarot Card Reading” (Schapiro Theatre).
