MIKA KAUFFMAN is a multi-hyphenate queer and trans artist basied in Brooklyn, primarily a director, musical writer, dramaturg and producer. Hailed from Baltimore, they received their BFA in acting from Towson University and MFA in musical writing from Tisch. Mike creates collaborative trauma-informed spaces with a focus on community building to cultivate new work Off-Broadway and beyond. They are a member of SDC and the Dramatist Guild, and founded the Trans Entertainment Guild, an organization bettering the working conditions and lives of TGNC people in entertainment.
Their work has been performed at the Players Theatre, Davenport Theater, The Kraine, Theater 80, American Theater of Actors, Goodspeed, Laurie Beechman, Joe’s Pub at The Public, Wild Project, and Green Room 42.
