    MARYA MAZOR recently directed Fun Home at The Chance (LA Times Critic's Pick); The Model Apartment for The Geffen Playhouse, Tigers Be Still and Tribes at The Chance Theater (OC Register Best Play 2017), The Rescued at The Road, (Stage Raw Award Nomination) and A Splintered Soul at International City Theatre, as well as Pure Confidence for Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble. 

    Other favorite productions include Ivy & Bean at South Coast Repertory, Out of Our Father's House for the Edinburgh Fringe, That Pretty Pretty... or the Rape Play at Son of Semele, Mad Forest at the Open Fist, The English Bride at the Road, and The Goat at The Chance (LA Times Critic's Pick) as well as a Broadway-scale production of Aladdin for Disney Cruise Lines. 

    She helmed the short film, The Winged Man, written by Oscar nominee Jose Rivera, as part of AFI's Directing Workshop for Women and played festivals worldwide. 

    Mazor has also directed at The Long Wharf, Pasadena Playhouse, New York Stage & Film, Nada, Dixon Place, Main Street Theatre, Circle X, The Boston Court, and Berkeley Repertory Theatre, among others. Marya cofounded Voice & Vision theater in New York, which she co-led for ten years. 

    She was an NEA/TCG Directing Fellow and holds an M.F.A. from Yale. She has taught at USC, Pepperdine, UCLA, Chapman University, The New School, Fordham University, and California State University Long Beach. 

    She is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
