LIBA VAYNBERG: Described by the New York Times as “wonderfully real and raw,” Liba Vaynberg is a first generation American writer and actor. Bilingual in English and Russian, she studied Molecular Biology & International Studies at Yale. She is the recipient of the inaugural commission at Rattlestick with CBE, and her play Round Table premiered at 59E59 (Times Square Chronicles 10 Best Plays of 2019). Other plays include Scheiss Book which premiered at the United Solo Festival at Theatre Row where it won Best One-Woman Show as well as the Backstage Magazine Audience Choice Award. Scheiss Book was also produced by Dixon Place, Wild Project (with Wheelhouse Theater project) and Stonewall Inn. Her play Round Table (Gary Marshall Theater New Works Semi-Finalist 2018) was programmed as pat of Fault Line Theatre’s new work series IRON IN THE FIRE and was subsequently produced at 59E59 and named Times Square Chronicles’ Top 10 of 2019. She has been published by the LABA Journal, contributes regularly to Lilith Magazine, and writes sketch with her partner Allison Minick with Main Wench. She is represented by Paradigm Talent Agency and CLA Partners.
