LEANNA KEYES is a playwright, producer, and designer based in Memphis. She is the production manager and production stage manager for Playhouse on the Square, the largest theater company producing work in Memphis. Previously she worked with a variety of San Francisco Bay Area organizations devoted to the development of new and reimagined plays. Her past collaborators include The Cutting Ball Theater, Playwrights Foundation, Performance Design Acronym, and Dragon Productions Theatre Company.
Her plays have been studied at universities around the country, including Stanford University, Rhodes College, the University of Kansas, and Western Carolina University. This year, her work is featured at Carnegie Mellon in the curriculum of “American Women Playwrights of the 20th and 21st Centuries.” She produced her one-act plays Legal-Tender Loving Care and The Kilogram Play at Stanford University in the fall of 2013. Her full-length “rom-com-dram” God Herself Could Not Sink This Ship followed with a full workshop production in the spring of 2014. REFERENCES
