KRISTA EYLER is the lyricist, composer and co-book writer for Overture the Musical, a 2019 Grand Jury Selection for the New York Musical Festival.
She originated the role of Lily at the 2018 Kansas City Fringe Festival and continued in that role for the 2019 New York Musical Festival. Krista is a well-established performer and musician on many stages in the Midwest including New Theatre Restaurant, Kansas City Actors Theatre, Chestnut Fine Arts Center, Theatre in the Park, The Barn Players, and the Arts Asylum. Regional credits include Velma (Chicago), Narrator (Joseph...), Patsy (Always, Patsy Cline), Eva Peron (Evita). She has created a catalog of music, and has written musicals and performance works for both secular and sacred settings. Krista also established her KC-based business, Funky Mama Music, over a decade ago to promote original, rock n' roll for families, and as "Funky Mama," was invited to sing at the White House for the 2007 Easter Egg Roll.
