KATHERINE WILKINSON is a director and producer based in New York City. Katherine has spent the last decade creating new ensemble-driven performance throughout the US and abroad. Her work has been seen in Australia, India, Japan, Greece, Mexico, and England.
Katherine has developed worth with The Magic Theatre, Playmakers, SITI Company, Suzuki Company of Toga, Zen Zen Zo, Rude Mechs, Classical Theatre of Harlem, Deborah Hay, GenEnCo, RADA, Movement Research, The Oklahoma Contemporary, The VORTEX, and The Watermill Center, among others. Katherine has assisted Anne Bogart, Sam Gold, Robert Wilson, and Rosemary Andress. As a music video artist, her work has premiered on Billboard, Vice and Afropunk. Katherine is the founder and producing artistic director of Gale Theatre Company. Gale is an award winning ensemble dedicated to developing new performance and fostering ongoing artistic training and collaboration. Gale’s work has been seen at the NOLA Fringe Festival, Houston Fringe, The VORTEX, Ground Floor Theatre, UT Austin, Oklahoma Contemporary and Columbia University. Katherine has taught acting, directing, devising and performance studies at the University of Queensland (Australia), UT Austin, and Columbia University.
