JOY LANCETA CORONEL holds an MFA in Voice Studies from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Joy has served as voice and speech faculty at HB Studio, American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and College of Staten Island-CUNY and has worked as a production coach alongside Comedy Central, Center Stage Theatre, Atlantic Theatre Co., Ma-Yi, and New Dramatists. She serves as VASTA's Chair of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee.
In addition to Joy's work in the theatre and entertainment field, she is also an experienced executive presentation and communication coach. She has worked closely with Fortune 500 companies and serves as an Executive Speech and Presentation Coach with Springboards Consulting. Joy also works as a communication tutor for Sanctuary for Families, an organization that provides programs for domestic and gender violence survivors. Her article "Coaching Asian Actors and Asian Accents with Cultural Sensitivity" recently won the Rocco Dal Vera Graduate Research Award.
