EMILY LYON is an award-winning Brooklyn-based theatre director and dramaturg whose work delves into the poetry and politics of language.
Her work includes: #yourmemorial (HERE Arts), How We Hear (The Brick, LPAC), The Summoning (Best Direction, Best Production: sheNYC), The Sword & the Stone/The Tempest tour (Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival), Women of Williams County (Best Ensemble: MITF), Interior: Panic (FringeNYC), The Arsonists (DCTV Firehouse), Some of the Side Effects (Best Premiere: UnitedSolo), Mary Stuart, All’s Well That Ends Well, The Secret in the Wings (Hedgepig Ensemble). She has assisted Rebecca Taichman (Old Globe), Michael Greif (Shakespeare in the Park), Rachel Chavkin (Yale Rep), Gregory Doran and Sir Michael Boyd (Royal Shakespeare Company residency), among others.
