EMILY HARTFORD is a director, actor, and puppet designer—and a Creative Partner with Flux Theatre Ensemble (“Eight Young and Mighty NY Theatre Companies,” Backstage). Emily creates and develops new work that embraces the temporal, imaginative relationship between audience and performers--and aims to weave the poetic and cerebral with the earthy physical.
Directing credits include the world premieres of Rizing, by Jason Tseng (Flux) and Ned Massey’s The Battles, a new musical; as well as Breathe Free (short devised works on immigrant justice).
