ELLEN ABRAMS - Playwright
she/her/hers
ELLEN ABRAMS is not under 30, nor under 40, but she has long been writing: as a publishing copywriter and copy chief for some of the top publishing houses in New York. Give her a book, and she can make it sell.
She attends the theatre as much as her change purse will allow, and reads as many classic and contemporary plays as the library will lend her. Ellen Abrams hails from a witty people, living room performers who possessed the gifts of story and song. She is also an ardent fan of classic movies, mid-20th century and contemporary theatre. She has absorbed much from those influences, and she does her best to live up their high standards. Ellen's greatest theatrical influences and interests are: Tennessee Williams, William Inge, David Ives, Stephen Karam, and Annie Baker, among others, as well as the great musicals of the last century. |
