CHRISTINE TOY JOHNSON is an award-winning writer, actor and advocate for inclusion. Her written works have been produced with Prospect Theatre, the Barrow Group Theatre Company, New Perspectives and Leviathan Lab in NYC and developed at such places as the Roundabout Theatre Company, O'Neill Theatre Center, The Weston Playhouse, The Village Theatre and CAP21.
As an actor, she has appeared extensively on Broadway, National Tours (currently appearing in the first national tour of COME FROM AWAY), Off-Broadway, Regional theaters, television and film. As part of the elected leadership of the Dramatists Guild of America, she is the chair of their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee and host/co-producer of the Guild's upcoming podcast "Talkback". Christine was honored for her advocacy work in the theatre by the Rosetta LeNoire Award in 2013, from Actors' Equity Association, where she also serves as a member of the elected leadership and chair of the National Equal Employment Opportunity Committee.
