BROOKE M. HANEY is a New York based Theatre Maker. Theatrically, she identifies as a Director, Intimacy Director, Actor and sometimes Playwright/Screenwriter.
She has worked internationally in the Philippines and regionally in Seattle, Boston, Orlando, and Kentucky. She is evangelical about her work as an Intimacy Director. Consent is SEXY as F#@%! Additionally, Brooke is quite interested in the colliding of visual art and theatre, space driven work and new play development. Brooke is the Adaptor/Actor of Kiss Me or Cut Off My Head which was workshopped in the Philippines, at Sarah Lawrence College, at Most Wanted Fine Arts Gallery in Pittsburgh and had it's World Premiere in NYC at Soho Photo Gallery directed by Tracy Bersley. Her play Now What? was selected by Ivy Theatre to be read as part of the "24 Hours of Women" festival in 2018. She writes for the web series Love in NY and Take Five. Brooke is an Adjunct Professor of Acting at Marymount Manhattan College, where she directs in the playwriting program.
