ALEX KEEGAN is a theatre director specializing in new play development and ensemble-generated work.
Her directing includes NYC Premieres of Gracie Gardner's PRIMARY (Sanguine/IRT), Kirby Field's LOST/NOT FOUND (UP Theatre Co.), Paula Caplan's SHADES (Cherry Lane Theatre), Carol Lashof's THE MELTING POT (Everyday Inferno/Access Theatre). Additional directing: Margot Connolly's TOUGH and Krista Knight's SELKIE (Williamstown), Sophie Netanel's THE WIFE OF USHER'S WELL (SheNYC, Festival Best Production Winner), Qui Nguyen's SHE KILLS MONSTERS (Geva Fellowship), and new work with MCC FreshPlay, Rattlestick, O'Neill Theater Center YPF, The Flea, and The Wild Project. Alex co-created APLOMB, an ensemble-generated play about queer young women's experience with anxiety disorder, which received a workshop production with The Habitat. She is a recipient of NYTW Adelphi Residency, Ensemble Studio Theatre's Sloan Project New Play Commission, The Drama League's Artist Residency.
